DOLLS. The DBHM collection includes many unique African American dolls including a resin bust of a Black woman on a can with a fabric skirt covering, from the 1980’s; a handmade doll of a woman in a 19th century-style dress; and, a ceramic doll of a young African American girl. African American dolls help to communicate the powerful stories of the African American experience throughout the decades.
